Forgot Your User Name or Password?
If you have forgotten your user name or Westlaw Australia password, you can call Westlaw Australia on 1800 110 009 or send an email to askwestlaw@thomson.com for assistance.
What is the Client ID?
The client ID is used by law firms to record billable time. If you do not use a client ID to record billable time, you can type any character(s) in the Client ID text box. The Client ID is recorded in the Research Trail and in the WestClip and KeyCite Alert entries so you may find it useful to enter characters that relate to your research in the Client ID text box. For example, law school students may want to tenter a course title.
What is Save this password and Save this user name password?
These options automatically enter your Westlaw password or your personalised user name and password when you access westlaw.com.au.
Security note: Of your password is entered automatically, anyone using your computer can assess Westlaw International with your password.
What is Secure Sign On?
The secure sign-on option encrypts your password as it is transmitted so that a third party cannot observe it. To use this option, your browser must support secure sockets layer (SSL) encryption protocol.
